Kennesaw, GA – Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 – John Loud, chairman of the national Electronic Security Association and President of LOUD Security Systems, hosted the 2nd annual festivities for National Security Technician Day at LOUD Security’s Kennesaw offices.
The idea for National Security Technician Day was promoted and established in 2022 by the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST), along with ESA and the Security Industry Association (SIA)
LOUD Security’s warehouse was transformed for the occasion with large banners and posters hanging from the walls and rafters. The posters each displayed a 5-star Google Review of one of LOUD’s many technicians.
The special day kicked off with a parade of oversized ‘fatheads’ of the technicians, followed by talks from Local Public Safety leaders such as Kennesaw Chief of Police Billy Westenberger and Mike Register, Director of Cobb Public Safety. Register spoke on the vital collaboration of today’s electronic security and surveillance systems with first responders.
A large breakfast was prepared by Mike Shroeder, owner of 1885 Grill in Acworth, with help from LOUD’s management team.
Also in attendance were staff from Chattahoochee Technical College, including College President Dr. Ron Newcomb.
The event provided an opportunity for CTC staff to meet with LOUD management and FAST Executive Director, AIden O’Brien to discuss efforts for establishing and promoting careers in low-voltage and electronic security.
Security industry leaders also participated including representatives from SPECO, ADI, Resideo, DMP and SDI; Many offering gifts of appreciation. Cobb Chic-Fil-A Franchise Operator, Marshall McCabe contributed gift cards for each of LOUD’s technicians.
“This day allows us to honor the skilled commercial and residential technicians in the security industry., said John Loud. “Low-voltage technicians provide the critical means to secure the myriad of homes and businesses throughout Atlanta and across the country.”
